What we collect
Your sign-in details (email, and your name if you use Google), the links and files you send, the transcripts we make of them, your questions, the answers, and how many minutes you use. Audio is downloaded only to transcribe it and is not kept: uploaded files are deleted as soon as they have been transcribed, or after 24 hours if they never are.
How long we keep it
Transcripts of your uploads and links, your questions and the answers are kept for 30 days so you can ask follow-up questions; email us to delete them sooner. Transcripts of public podcast episodes are kept for 30 days and may be reused when anyone asks about the same episode; they contain no information about who asked. Usage counts are kept for about 40 days.
Who processes it
- Clerk: signing you in when you connect the service to your assistant. Data: email address, name if you sign in with Google, sign-in records.
- Google (Gemini API, paid tier): transcribing the audio and writing the answers. Data: the audio, cut into two-minute pieces, and your question; under Google's paid terms, not used to train its models.
- Vercel: hosting the website and the connector, holding uploaded files until they are transcribed, and counting page visits. Data: uploaded files (private, deleted after transcription or 24 hours), IP address and request logs; page-visit statistics without cookies or a persistent identifier.
- Upstash: storing jobs, transcripts and your monthly usage. Data: your account id, links, file names, transcripts, questions, answers, minutes used.
- Stripe: taking payment for Pro and managing the subscription. Data: email, payment details and billing country; card details go to Stripe, never to us.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, show ads, use your recordings to train AI models, or identify people from their voice.
Your choices
You can disconnect the service from your assistant at any time. To delete your account and data, email privacy@wikivec.com. The service is only for people aged 18 and over.
